Amazon Dark Elves...

Hey there guys,

I thought I would post about the next project i am doing. It's going to be an amazon inspired dark elves army, inspired by the old Warhammer models and conversions I saw in an old white dwarf from 2004. With the new 'Seraphon' models and Dark elf models i think it could create a load of striking and unique conversions. Here is a list of the kits i will be bashing for this project (I have also bought myself a ton of 'aztec' looking bits to further the theme)....

- 1 x Stegadon Box (Converted as Cauldron of Blood)
- 2 x Witch Elves Boxes (15 on foot + 3 to be used as Terradon Riders + 2 Sorceress')
- 1 x Dreadlord on Black Dragon Box
-  1 x Terradon Riders Box (To be converted, used as Warhawk rider allies? unsure)
- 1 Cold One Riders Box

Stay tuned and hopefully i will have some stunning conversions for you all to feast you eyes on!

Mad Max Commission starting to really take shape...

Hey guys,

I have been working on the Warboyz which are taking longer than I expected due to the detail on the figures. But got 12 finished and set them up, really making the display come to life.

Only have 8 more to complete and the Terminator lord (The leader) then just need to neaten up the bases with razor wire and tufts. Then the banner at the front, and it will be completed.

Trukks Completed

Hey guys.

Just a quick update. I have finished my two Trukks for the army and I think they compliment the Dakkajet nicely with the consistent colour scheme. I hope you agree. I wanted them to be quick muted so that the war boys once finished will be the focal point. Here's some photos

I will hopefully be bringing you the first batch of war boyz in the next few days so look out for that.

DakkaJet (Mad Max Conversion completed)

Hey Guys.

Just a quick update, I have finished the DakkaJet for my Mad Max army. I am really happy with the grey colour scheme for this and i think the weathering and OCL work wonders in bring this to life. It also sets a strong tone for the rest of the army. Heres how the final model turned out...

Next up, I have made a start on the Trukks for the War Boys... So should have them up for you in
the coming days.

Mad Max Army Painted and New Studio Update

Hey Guys.

It's been a little while since I posted due to me getting a studio place sorted, so I have not had any time to post or get much modelling done. Since my last post i have got the army assembled.....

I think the models look fantastic! so pleased with how the guys came out. I also made a mount board to make them suitable so a showpiece item which really shows them off in the best possible fashion, whilst giving a certain feel as to how they would look in a battle scenario.

Finally, I am very close to finish the DakkaJet/Mad Max Aeroplane concept finished off so that will be coming in the next couple of days, once i have had time to get the weathering finished.

NEW ARMY PROJECT.

I recently watched Mad Max and i thought it'd make a great concept for a warhammer army. It'd really give me a challenge conversion wise. i began by working out which army would work best with the models already available. I chose Chaos, whilst using Ork vehicles.

I have only seen it be done once before and i am really excited to see what i can do.

Here's the army list and what i am going to use.

Bitz:

I brought a ton of bitz from a couple of websites to help reinforce the imagery i'm going for.

Spikes:

I bought a load of long bamboo spikes from the supermarket so i can add some spikes and recreate various characteristics on their vehicles.

Models:

1x Terminator Lord (Will Represent the Emperor

40x BloodReavers (I am going to convert these into chaos cultists... wanted to do this since they were released. These will obviously represent my War Boys)

2x Ork Trukks (These will be converted to represent Rhinos)
1x Ork Battlewagon (This will either represent a Predator or Land Raider i haven't decided yet.)

1x DakkaJet (Will represent a Heldrake)

If anybody has any comments or idea's to help, please let me know, any feedback is welcome. Here's a couple of pictures of what i'm going for.

Drazhoath the Ashen conversion complete

Hey guys.

I finished my second group of Fireglaives,
I also finished my converted Drazhoath the Ashen model. I think it turned out very nicely, especially the wing, I think they really pop.

I used Carroburg Crimson both as a extra shade on the flesh but also splatted on to create a blood effect. I think it produced a great effect.

Next up it's going to be the Infernal Guard Castellan and Chaos Siege Giant....

First set of Fireglaives completed

Hello again.

So I finished painting my first 10 Fireglaives made from Irondrakes.

I am really pleased with how these turned out, I really like the jade and brown combination on these models. It isn't the most efficient colour scheme, and takes quite a while per model but as I only have 20 of them to paint I think it was worth the extra time.

This colour scheme really unifies the unit in my opinion and I think for troops that is really effective especially as it should make the special characters pop more.

Building Complete

Hey guys

So I finished constructing my army. really happy with how it all came out. Especially the various conversions like the banners, hobgoblins and the giant!

Here's a photo of the army as a group, sorry about the poor camera quality.

Chaos Dwarvvves

So i decided with the release of Age of Sigmar, it was time to start a new army.
I had never really looked into Chaos Dwarves, and i thought this would be a great place to start as it gave me a ton of options, alternative models, conversions and paint schemes.

I don't have the sort of money to make an army from the Forgeworld model range, i also wanted to make my dwarves look unique. So i had a look at alternatives.

I have decided to use Irondrakes for my Fireglaives.

With a couple of tweeks and a nasty colour scheme, these could make some really badass looking models. I think i am going to go with a dark grey or rusty colour scheme for these.

For my Hero's I will be using Scibor's Dwarf King on War Bear for my Drazhoath the Ashen, i am thinking of adding tusks and some wings to make it look more like a Bison. Its a longshot but i think it could work.

For my hobgoblins i think i am going to try doing something similar to what this guy has done from The Chaos Dwarves Fan Website that i found. Here's a link to them

http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=10041

Personally i think these look awesome and now that models are on round bases and don't need to be ranked up i think you could make them even more dynamic. I am going to use a box Stormvermin, a box of Gnoblars and some arms and other stuff from my bits box for these.

I have also bought a Scraplauncher and a Giant for good measure but i'm not really sure what i am going to do with them yet.

All there is to do now is to wait until the models arrive!!

My First Modelling Blog!

Hey Everyone!

I have been a painter/modeller for 2 years or so now, I paint and/or convert Warhammer Armies in my spare time,

However i have a really bad tendency to give up on projects half way through. So i thought that maybe if i was to write about it and document it, it would in some way help motivate me to finish and also give myself a record of past projects.

I'll show pictures from start to finish, then the details of where to purchase it when i sell it to anybody interested.

But enough about me, on to the good stuff. I hope you enjoy.
