Drazhoath the Ashen conversion complete

Hey guys.

I finished my second group of Fireglaives,
I also finished my converted Drazhoath the Ashen model. I think it turned out very nicely, especially the wing, I think they really pop.

I used Carroburg Crimson both as a extra shade on the flesh but also splatted on to create a blood effect. I think it produced a great effect.

Next up it's going to be the Infernal Guard Castellan and Chaos Siege Giant....

First set of Fireglaives completed

Hello again.

So I finished painting my first 10 Fireglaives made from Irondrakes.

I am really pleased with how these turned out, I really like the jade and brown combination on these models. It isn't the most efficient colour scheme, and takes quite a while per model but as I only have 20 of them to paint I think it was worth the extra time.

This colour scheme really unifies the unit in my opinion and I think for troops that is really effective especially as it should make the special characters pop more.

Building Complete

Hey guys

So I finished constructing my army. really happy with how it all came out. Especially the various conversions like the banners, hobgoblins and the giant!

Here's a photo of the army as a group, sorry about the poor camera quality.

Chaos Dwarvvves

So i decided with the release of Age of Sigmar, it was time to start a new army.
I had never really looked into Chaos Dwarves, and i thought this would be a great place to start as it gave me a ton of options, alternative models, conversions and paint schemes.

I don't have the sort of money to make an army from the Forgeworld model range, i also wanted to make my dwarves look unique. So i had a look at alternatives.

I have decided to use Irondrakes for my Fireglaives.

With a couple of tweeks and a nasty colour scheme, these could make some really badass looking models. I think i am going to go with a dark grey or rusty colour scheme for these.

For my Hero's I will be using Scibor's Dwarf King on War Bear for my Drazhoath the Ashen, i am thinking of adding tusks and some wings to make it look more like a Bison. Its a longshot but i think it could work.

For my hobgoblins i think i am going to try doing something similar to what this guy has done from The Chaos Dwarves Fan Website that i found. Here's a link to them

Personally i think these look awesome and now that models are on round bases and don't need to be ranked up i think you could make them even more dynamic. I am going to use a box Stormvermin, a box of Gnoblars and some arms and other stuff from my bits box for these.

I have also bought a Scraplauncher and a Giant for good measure but i'm not really sure what i am going to do with them yet.

All there is to do now is to wait until the models arrive!!

My First Modelling Blog!

Hey Everyone!

I have been a painter/modeller for 2 years or so now, I paint and/or convert Warhammer Armies in my spare time,

However i have a really bad tendency to give up on projects half way through. So i thought that maybe if i was to write about it and document it, it would in some way help motivate me to finish and also give myself a record of past projects.

I'll show pictures from start to finish, then the details of where to purchase it when i sell it to anybody interested.

But enough about me, on to the good stuff. I hope you enjoy.
