Winter is Coming 2: Marauder Paint Scheme Prototype

Hey guys,

So I finally got round to building, priming and undercoating my Chaos Army. I then had to figure out a colour scheme for them. I landed on this....

I have gone for muted silvers, realistic browns and a very pale, purple washed skin tone. I think this is a nice colour scheme, and will be easy to replicate over 20 marauders in a short amount of time. With the bases I am going for an Arctic summer feel to it (Snow, tufts, flowers etc).

Winter is Coming 1: Project outline

Hey guys,

So I decided to scrap the Vampire counts idea, as I decided that I would prefer to do a Chaos Marauder Army, with a bit of Slaanesh thrown in. Lots of cool blues and purples tones, combined with light flesh tones and snowy basing. I'm really looking forward to getting this started, I have made 20 Marauders on foot (2 groups of 10) to begin with, and have added in 20 heads from the horsemen that are to follow.

Please check out my Facebook page here if you find my work interesting and want to see more:

I am also selling my last project on Ebay, which you can find here:

Stay tuned for more posts, I have more Cork arriving in the next couple of days so I will have more goodies ready soon.

Vampire Counts Project Outline.

Hey guys,

So for my next project. I have decided to do a Vampire, basically some heavily converted vampires and a few zombies. This project is predominantly inspired by Julian Bayliss' work, of which I am a massive fan. However, I want too make some my Vampires look like they have tried to hide their blood sucking ways. So a couple will be obviously evil, and a couple will have a lot of Empire symbolism, with more subtle Vampire characteristics.

Colour wise I am thinking of a more brutal colour scheme, to what I normally use (a lot more blood and gore with more wildly diverse shade colours). This will be coupled with the standard pale skin tones and dark grey and brown tones of the robes and clothing. While I am unsure about how I will do the bases, it'll be uninviting and cold too tie in the the overall look.

I am excited too get this started as I think this will be a lot of fun.

I would sincerely recommend that you check out Julian Bayliss' work here, if ever someone was too inspire you too try a new project or drive you too improve your converting or painting skills, then he is you man.

Hopefully this has inspired you, or interested you in some way, and if you have any suggestions of ways to improve this project please get in touch.

Adeptus Mechanicus: Project Completed.

Hey guys,

I have finally finished off the remaining models in the AdMech army. And I am very happy with how it all turned out. I like the theme that runs throughout the army, and the use of pink and green I think works really well alongside the conversions, which I think turned out a lot better than I had hoped they would. I hope you guys have enjoyed this and I hope you agree with me about the final results. Here are some photo's of the final set and the recently completed models.

If I was to re-do this army i think i would have used a more brutal colour palette, as it seems a little too clean in some area's now, looking back on it.

My next project will be a Vampire Counts (Hero orientated) Project so stayed tuned for more on that.
